What To Choose
So you’ve got some pain and you don’t want to aggravate it, BUT you gotta get that cardio in and keep the weight off! Which machine to choose??
To maximize calories burned (lowest to highest): 1. Walking 2. Elliptical | Stationary bike 3. Running
Foot/ankle/shin pain: Bike is best
Hip and knee pain: treadmill walk or elliptical; bike is fine too, but make sure the seat setting is correct (not too close!)♂️
Low back pain: choose something! Moving is better than not moving. The proper machine will depend on the source of low back pain. Pay attention to your body and have a professional take a look for further exercise advice.
