Cortisol Management and Exercise

Exercise + Cortisol. Cortisol is your stress hormone. When you are stressed out, your body releases more cortisol. This increases your heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, muscle tension (often times leading to aches and pain), and glucose levels. Basically, too much cortisol can wreak havoc on the body. Good news is low-moderate intensity exercise helps lower cortisol levels! Find an exercise you enjoy and get moving!
