Thoracic Extension

Thoracic extension is important for several reasons! We need thoracic extension for good posture, optimized breathing patterns, proper overhead shoulder function and performance, and to contribute to general spine health! Try this easy exercise - clasp your hands behind your head, keeping elbows in front of you. Slower leave back in a chair and hold a few seconds. Repeat. You can also try slouching or sitting up straighter to get different spine segments moving!
