Lats, lats, lats!

Lats, lats, lats!! Contracting the latissimus dorsi tensions the posterior fascial system. This provides stability posteriorly through the low back and sacrum. Contracting the lats also result in compression of the sacroiliac (SI) as the lats actually attach at the iliac crest of the hip. ⭐️ Spark notes: lay pull downs help stabilize the spine and SIJ, which can help reduce pain and improve function! ⭐️ Do... a lot! Make sure not to pull arms too far behind your body or your shoulders will hike up towards your ears.
