Dehydration in Winter Months

Do you find that when winter hits you start to have dry or cracked skin, chapped lips, and feel more tired? A lot of that is in response to our hydration levels. Water consumption is always important to keep our body working at it’s highest potential, but it is especially important to remember to keep up during these drying months. Try to keep a reusable water bottle or large glass with you all day to keep drinking!

The U.S. National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine recommend 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) a day for women and 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) a day for men! Simple ways to promote water consumption throughout the day include drinking one glass of water before meal times, setting reminders on your phone each hour while at work, and keeping a water bottle nearby at all times.
