The Deal With Heels

Ladies!! On Wednesdays we wear pink and on Saturdays, we wear heels So, what’s the scoop with heels? We know they give us a little height and make our legs look good by showing off our calves, but they also put several body parts in vulnerable positions. 

Here’s what happens:

1️⃣Hyperextension and excessive pressure through the toes. Hello bunions.

2️⃣Increased plantarflexion (pointing of toes). This makes us susceptible to ankle sprains, plantar fasciitis, and calf pain.

3️⃣ Increased force through the knees. This can contribute to arthritis.

4️⃣Hyperextension of low back. This makes our toosh look good, but can cause low back pain.

We love ️our heels, but make sure you integrate all kinds of different shoes into your wardrobe!
